Finals Schedule Fall 2004
The Committee on Academic Standing has issued thefollowing final examination schedule for the first semester of 2004-05. Collegepolicy stipulates that neither students nor faculty members may make changes inthe published examination schedule without prior approval of the Registrar. Conflicts caused by the schedule should beresolved by discussion with the appropriate instructor and completion of aChange in Examination form available in the Registrar's office.

CLASS TIME
Examinations for students in classes meeting at arranged hours will be during thefinal exam week at the examination time assigned to the time slot during whichthe arranged course met. If a classmeets in more than one time slot, the exam may be given in either time slotlisted, at the discretion of the instructor.
All take-home exams must be submitted to the appropriate instructors by the date stipulated by theinstructors, or, at the latest, by 5:00 p.m. on the final day of the examperiod (December 17). All otherwritten work, or oral defenses of written work, required in various courseswill also be due by 5:00 p.m. on December 17, but instructors may alsostipulate earlier due dates for this work if they so choose.
Students who have justifiable reasons for submittingcourse work later than the deadline stipulated are expected to work outarrangements for grades of Incomplete and extensions of time with theirinstructors, in accordance with the procedure for doing so as set forth in the StudentHandbook. No grade of Incompletewill be processed by the Registrar=s Office if prior approvalhas not been granted by the Registrar.
Instructors will be expectedto submit final grades for all students to the Registrar by noon on Monday, December 27, 2004. The Registrar's Office will be closedduring part of the vacation period but someone will be picking up the mail andentering the grades throughout vacation. Please deliver your grades to the Registrar's mail box on the north sideof the John Chrystal Center before noon on Monday, December 27. If you will beout of town during this period, please make arrangements with someone in yourdepartment to take your grades by phone and deliver them to the Registrar'sOffice by the deadline date. It is imperativethat you plan your time accordingly because the Registrar's Office must haveall grades processed and all problems solved in order to produce a low gradedocket for the Committee on Academic Standing.
