It is the policy of Grinnell College to ensure that students with disabilities are provided full access to a course in which they are enrolled.
Most College classrooms are wheel chair accessible however, in the event that a student who uses a wheelchair wishes to take a course that is assigned to a room that is not wheelchair accessible, the student should notify the Dean of Academic Advising/Director of Disability Services who will work through the situation with the Registrar. A faculty adviser who becomes aware that an advisee needs a wheelchair accessible classroom should notify the Registrar. Once the registrar becomes aware that a student using a wheelchair is enrolled in a course held in a room not wheel chair accessible, the registrar will reassign the course to an accessible classroom and notify the professor teaching the class and students enrolled in the course.
A faculty member with a disability who needs a classroom accommodation should contact the Dean of the Faculty or the ADA Officer.
