We as Grinnell College's Department of Residence Life strive to intentionally create and develop a safe, comfortable living-learning community within the residence halls. To create a seamless learning environment, we work collaboratively with Student Affairs and other departments to promote academic success and personal development, through student and staff co-creation of community living standards, undergirded by the college's philosophy of self-governance. We connect the students' diverse life experiences with their learning in and out of the classroom to assist students in becoming responsible, respectful and accountable members of the campus, town and global community.
