Can I loft my bed?
Yes. Grinnell College partners with Bedloft.com to provide students with a loft rental program. Renting a bed loft is an easy, affordable way to create additional living space in your room. Students may preorder a loft at www.bedloft.com for easy pick-up on move-in day. Lofts may also be rented on move-in day, but quantities will be limited.
- Bedloft is the only loft endorsed and approved by Grinnell College.
- MicroFridges are also available for rent and futons available for purchase from Bedloft.com.

Are refrigerators allowed in the rooms?
Yes. Grinnell College partners with Bedloft.com to rent MicroFridges to students. The unit has 2.9 cubic feet total storage capacity, including a full freezer, and a 600 watt microwave. This eco-friendly unit is a convenient alternative to bringing a refrigerator from home.
- Students may preorder their MicroFridge for easy pick-up on move-in day. MicroFridges may also be rented on move-in day, but quantities will be limited.
