Grinnell Corps: Grinnell (MICA)
Every year, Grinnell College sponsors one graduate to work for a year in the town of Grinnell at a human service or development agency as a part of the Grinnell Corps. From 2001-08, local agencies applied to host two consecutive one-year Fellows; after these two years, the Fellowship moved to another agency in town. Past hosts included the Galaxy Youth Center (2001-03), Domestic Violence Alternatives/Sexual Assault Center (2003-05), Mid-Iowa Community Action (MICA) (2005-07), and the Grinnell-Newburg School District (2007-09)
Since 2009, Grinnell Corps: Grinnell has returned to Mid-Iowa Community Action (MICA), the local anti-poverty agency. More information about MICA's services is available here, and the Grinnell Corps: MICA job description is also available.
