GRINNELL CORPS: NAMIBIA

Two post-graduate Fellowship opportunities are being offered with the Gobabeb Training and Research Centre (GTRC) for Grinnell's current fourth year students, beginning in June 2010. The Gobabeb Training and Research Centre is an internationally recognized Namibian and Southern African Development Community (SADC) Training and Research Institution. Since 1962, Gobabeb has been conducting environmental research in the Namib Desert. In 1997 the Centre became a SADC Centre of Excellence. In addition to its highly regarded research, Gobabeb is also involved in training, sustainable development, appropriate technology, education, and environmental awareness projects. The Centre is a joint venture between the Desert Research Foundation of Namibia (DRFN) and the Namibian Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET).
