The AIF Clinton Fellowship for Service provides a select group of young American professionals the opportunity to serve marginalized and underprivileged communities in India by working with NGOs for a period of 10 months.

Clinton fellows are placed in NGO's all over India, where they work on sustainable and scalable projects in the areas of public health, education and livelihoods.

Some past successful fellowship projects include:

• Helped develop a lentil procurement, processing and marketing operation in Udaipur

• Assisted NGO with creating innovative teaching kits for government schools

• Helped put together programs for HIV positive and HIV affected children

The Clinton Fellowship for Service has over 300 alumni and connections with over 110 NGOs.

Application Requirements: 
  • Deadline:  January 1, 2011
  • Citizen/permanent resident of the United States
  • Be between the ages of 21 and 35 on September 1, 2011
  • Have completed an undergraduate degree prior to September 1, 2011
  • Knowledge of an Indian language not required, but recommended
