College Possible (formerly Admission Possible) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit making college admission and success possible for low-income students through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support. College Possible provides after-school services including (1) academic support through ACT/SAT test preparation; (2) college application assistance; (3) financial aid consulting; (4) guidance in the college transition; and (5) support toward college degree completion.

College Possible's AmeriCorps members are talented, passionate people who will do whatever it takes to help students earn admission to and succeed in college. The Corps consists of recent college graduates from across the country who have diverse knowledge and experiences. They all bring with them a desire to change the world and the determination to make it happen. Members serve students directly as coaches and help build the organization's capacity by planning events, fundraising and supporting public relations.

Application Requirements: 
  • College degree required

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • High level of achievement in academics
  • Employment and/or other pursuits
  • Commitment to the mission of College Possible

Candidates of all academic majors are welcome to apply.

  • College transcript (unofficial is acceptable)

  • Living allowance
  • Health coverage
  • Education Award of $5,550 that can be used to repay student loans or future education expenses (upon completion of service).
  • Student loans may be deferred.

Depending on the position, a 10-month or 12-month commitment is required.
