The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is an organization that works toward advancing cooperation between nations, and promotes active international engagement by the U.S. This is a yearlong fellowship that offers eight to ten research assistantships with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Research fellows are paired with the Endowment's senior associates. Grinnell graduate Margaret Lay'07 was a fellow.

Application Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or (as long as you attended a US university), be eligible to work in the US
- Must be a graduating senior, or a student who has graduated in the last academic year. If you start graduate studies, you are no longer eligible for the fellowship
- There are over 300 participating universities, and eight to ten fellowships are awarded every year
- Applications are judged on the quality of the written essay, related academic study and/or work experience, grades, recommendations, personal interviews

- $2,916.66 per month ($35,000 per year)
