The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme is sponsored by the Japanese government. JET places native English speakers in classrooms across Japan. The workers live in Japan for up to a year and serve as a language assistant to Japanese students.

Application Requirements: 
  • Hold at least a bachelor's degree
  • Be under forty years of age
  • Show and have a pronounced interest in Japan
  • Willingness to teach English (experience isn't necessary, but helpful)
  • Be a citizen of the country from which you are applying from
