Math for America is a nonprofit organization that has the mission to improve math education in secondary public schools in the United States. Math for America does this by recruiting, training, and retaining outstanding mathematics teachers. There are Math for America placements in Los Angeles, San Diego, Washington DC, and New York City.

Application Requirements:
- Must have a 5 year commitment
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S
- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University
- A minimum of 18 credits in math courses at the calculus level or higher are required
- A guideline undergraduate GPA for an MÑA Fellow is 3.0 (B) on a 4-point scale
- Be new to teaching
- Achieve a competitive score on the ETS Praxis II Math Content exams
