The department strongly recommends that a student have taken at least one 200-level anthropology course before taking ANT 280.

Anthropology 104 is a general education course which surveys the entire field of anthropology from human evolution and prehistory to the comparative study of the variety of human cultures. It is a prerequisite to most other courses in the department. ANT 280 is offered every semester and is a prerequisite for the 300 or 400-level courses.

There are many ways to complete a major in anthropology. One possibility, which includes a semester of Off-Campus Study (OCS) is:
