Review Team's Final Report

In the spring of 2011, a review team consisting of the following members conducted a thorough review of the Student Activities and Campus Center Operations department:

  • Courtney Sheehan '11, SGA Representative
  • Rebecca Stuhr, Associate Professor & Collection Development and Preservation Librarian
  • Val Vetter, Coordinator of Peace Studies
  • Sentwali Bakari, Dean of Students, Drake University
  • Jim Hoppe, Dean of Students, Macalester College

The review was conducted April 24‐26, 2011. On Sunday evening, the review team met briefly with Vice-President for Student Affairs W. Houston Dougharty, Travis Greene, and Michael Sims; on Monday the team met with faculty, staff, and students involved with Student Activities and Student Conduct; Tuesday morning the team had individual follow‐up sessions with Michael Sims, Travis Greene, and W. Houston Dougharty.

For the Student Activities and Campus Center Operations department, the charge of the review team was to examine the effectiveness and efficiency of the facilities and services for Grinnell students, staff, faculty, and members of the greater Grinnell community.

Once the review team's final report was submitted to W. Houston Dougharty, Vice-President for Student Affairs, the report was sent sent to department/program heads (Michael Sims - for Student Activities and Campus Center Operations; Travis Greene - for Student Conduct) for review and comment.
