Lilly Sponsored Trip to Koinonia Farms in Americus Georgia, Spring 2005 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Led by Lilly Intern for Religious Life Leah McCullough, a group of eight students traveled to Koinonia Farms near Americus Georgia. Koinonia was started in 1942 by Clarence Jordan as a racially integrated farming community committed to social justice. Koinonia continues this mission today by promoting equality and acceptance. Grinnell students worked on the farm, in the bakery, and reflected on the mission and future of Koinonia.
