Suku Radia is president and CEO of Bankers Trust, Iowa's largest independent community bank. Prior to joining Bankers Trust, Suku served as chief financial officer of Meredith Corporation, the nation's leading diversified media company. Suku earned a bachelor's of science degree, with distinction, from Iowa State University in 1974 and became a certified public accountant in 1975, when he joined KPMG. He has been active in a number of professional, economic development, educational, and charitable organizations, including the 2009 campaign chair of United Way of Central Iowa and the executive committee of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines. In addition, Suku has been the recipient of many philanthropic awards. Born and raised in Kampala, Uganda, Suku came to the United States in 1971 to attend Iowa State University.
