Students can call x4440 (on campus) or 1-800-779-3512 to talk to a confidential advocate 24-hours a day regarding sexual assault. The advocates are available to talk to survivors, friends who want to help or support a survivor, or those with questions about sexual assault. The toll-free line is staffed through the Domestic Violence Alternatives/Sexual Assault Center (often referred to as DVA/SAC) in Marshalltown. Students can request to talk to a Campus Advocate. Campus Advocates are Grinnell College students trained by DVA/SAC in sexual assault response.
