This office is responsible for the Joe Rosenfield ’25 Center, the Harris Center, and Student Activities.
The Joe Rosenfield ’25 Center is the new campus center for Grinnell College. The center is home to several offices and a variety of campus services and programs. Administrative offices include: Student Affairs, Dining Services, and Conference Operations and Events. Some programs and services include: the Campus Dining facility, which offers a variety of specialty stations; the Campus Post Office; Student Government Association (SGA); Student Publications; KDIC 88.5 FM Radio Station; Multicultural Student Organization Offices; the Information Desk; a game room; a student art gallery; an ATM; a multipurpose programming room; and a variety of meeting spaces and lounges.
The Harris Center is an “event” facility that includes a 500-seat concert hall, a 400-seat cinema, concessions, the Grinnell Outdoor Recreation Program (GORP) and equipment room, a Harris staff office, outdoor courtyard, and an informal lounge. Movies, concerts, dances and parties are a few of the activities that occur at Harris. Frequently students can be found playing pool and table tennis, or watching television in the lounge.
Student Activities provides support, resources, and advice to assist students in planning programs and developing organizational and leadership skills.
