Originally from a small town in west central Iowa, Laura and her family moved to Grinnell in 2001.  Her husband Rich is a vice president for a local bank; their eldest son Ethan is currenlty a 2nd year at Grinnell College; and younger son Logan is a sophomore at Grinnell High.  She joined the Division of Student Affairs in 2005, and has been assisting students with their residential needs ever since. Before coming to Grinnell, Laura worked for a hospital in Sioux City, a start-up software company in Indianapolis, and operated her own business in South Dakota. Without a doubt, the students at Grinnell College have made this the most interesting, challenging, and rewarding job she has ever had.  Laura and her family are avid supporters of several area animal shelters.  Stop by their home and you will definitely receive an 'enthusiastic' greeting from their two golden retrievers, miniature dachshund, and cat named Slick.
