Laura, her husband, Rich, and sons Ethan and Logan, moved to Grinnell in 2001. She joined the Student Affairs Department in 2005, and has been assisting students with their housing needs ever since. Before coming to Grinnell, Laura enjoyed working for the Community Education Department at a Sioux City hospital. She also provided support to a start-up software company in Indianapolis, and operated her own business in South Dakota. However, the students at Grinnell College have by far made this the most interesting, challenging, and rewarding job she has ever had.
