Admission to Grinnell Regional Medical Center or College Share Program

If you are requesting admission for overnight care you should be seen by the registered nurses during working hours, 8a.m.- 5p.m., Monday-Friday, at the Health Care. After nursing hours, please contact your RLC. Because of the hospital policy a physicians assessment is needed before a student may be admitted to the Sub Acute care program. During health center hours the nurse may make an appointment with a local doctor. If admission is requested after hours the student is evaluated by the emergency room physician.

The Grinnell Regional Sub Acute Care program should be viewed in the concept of the overnight care service previously provided by the Health Center. This is a minimum care program. If you are admitted to the regular hospital, your insurance will assume the cost.
