Over-the-Counter Medications Available at the Health Center

If you request or it is deemed necessary by RN assessment, within confines of written protocol, or written or telephone order from physician the following over the counter medication are available at the Health Center.

Antacids:

Pepto-Bismol (relieves indigestion & diarrhea) Gelusil (Antacid-Anti-Gas)

Antihistamines:

Benadryl

Cough Medication:

Expectorant
Expectorant/Suppressant

Decongestants/Antihistamines:

Decongestant (2 tablet every 4-6 hours)
Decongestant/antihistamine (1 tablet every 12 hours) or (1 tablet every 4 hours)

Pain relievers/fever reducers:

Aspirin (2 tablets every 3-4 hours)
Acetaminophen (2 tablets every 3-4 hours)
Ibuprofen (1 tablet every 4 hours)

Sore throat relief:

Throat Lozenges (1 lozenge every 2 hours)

Ointments:

Tolnaftate ­ antifungal powder or cream (as directed)
Bacitracin ­ antibacterial ointment (as directed)
Shampoos (Rx head and pubic lice)
