Local

From Health Center To provide transportation for your medical appointments and pharmacies pick up if required. Please arrive 10 minutes before appointment.
1. If possible please call the Health Center prior to your appointment. 2. Locations/reasons a. Mental Health Center b. Grinnell Regional Medical Center c. poor physical condition d. unable to arrange other transportation e. poor weather conditions f. we do not pick up prescriptions at WalMart due to distance and time
3. Drivers student clerks, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday at other times, contact RLC or Dean on call. You must wear the seat belts at all times while in the car.

Out of Town

If you need out-of-town transportation for non-emergency medical reasons the procedure is as follows: 1. Contact the health center a. destination b. date c. time d. must show valid driver's license 2. Need a. medical need only b. cannot be used for personal needs c. driver does not need to be 21 3. Costs a. 15 cents per mile for car, 18 cents per mile for van or station b. $5.60 to driver per hour away from campus

After-hours and weekend request for "emergency" medical transportation outside of Grinnell:

Contact Dean on call A college vehicle will be used for transportation. The Health Center car is not to be used for out-of-town needs.
