Project Houses

Three project houses are available to students. A project house consists of students with a common interest and a desire to promote that interest to the campus community.

1128 East Street
12 spaces (4 doubles, 4 singles)

1130 East Street
10 spaces (4 singles, 3 doubles)

1023 Park Street
7 spaces (3 singles, 2 doubles)

Groups desiring a house must submit a project proposal detailing the type of project and necessity of having a house to carry out the project, the goals of the project and how the group will achieve those goals, and how the group will be held accountable for the project.

Each group must present their proposal to the Housing Committee at House Hearings. A representative of the group should be prepared to make an oral presentation at that time.

Students of successful groups are not allowed to participate in the regular Room Draw and will not be considered for non-College-owned housing. Alternates should proceed with regular Room Draw.

Each house will have a House Coordinator. It is the responsibility of the House Coordinator to fill each room/space. House Coordinators must do the following:

  • Submit a completed House Application to Student Affairs.
  • Submit a completed House Contract for each student and alternate listed on the House Roster.
  • Attend / lead House Hearing presentation.
  • If awarded the house, submit room assignments for each semester to Student Affairs by completing a Floor Chart (provided by Student Affairs).
  • Agree to attend Student Staff Training in August.
  • Serve as the contact person between the House and Student Affairs during the upcoming academic year.

House Coordinators must also clearly explain the following information to all Project House applicants:

  • All students listed on the House Application must pay their $200 advance tuition deposit by April 1 and have no delinquent charges on their accounts.
  • ALL applicants must attend the House Hearings.
  • If awarded the Project House, house members understand they MAY NOT apply for any other special housing draws, participate in Room Draw, and are automatically removed from the final off-campus non-College-owned housing list.
