A Room Draw manipulation policy has been implemented to assure the most equitable Room Draw possible. A student who enters Room Draw in good faith will not be subject to any of the penalties listed below. The basic intent of this policy is to thwart manipulation; therefore, the penalties are severe. Any exceptions must be approved by the Assistant Dean / Director of Residence Life.

  1. Students drawing into singles will not be allowed to swap rooms with other students in doubles or triples for a period of one semester.
  2. A student drawing into a single will not be allowed to swap rooms with another student in a single without written permission from the Office of Student Affairs.
  3. Students having the lowest number in a double or triple (the student who drew the room) will not be allowed to move for a period of one semester.
  4. Any violator of the above will be subject to the judgment of the Assist. Dean/Director of Residence Life and/or possible judicial action.
  5. Number switching is NOT allowed.
