CSB is our attempt to help bring global perspectives to local venues. Grinnell's active international population make up 11% of the student body and come from over 50 countries. They provide a panorama of perspectives and insights that can be a valuable resource to the community. The student speakers are volunteers, not professional presenters - but they are experts with respect to their own lives, and they are enthusiastic about sharing a 'view from their window'.
If you are interested in organizing a local presentation please contact Michael Hunt, the CSB Coordinator, with your request.
The CSB coordinator will listen to your program needs and help to match you with student presentors who can help accomplish your goals. CSB will link you with a CSB speaker, and can help you think through organizational details like transportation and timing. We can also help you (and the student presenter) think through the preparation of an interesting program that will be age and venue appropriate.
