HOLA! My name is Juan Carlos Pérez Borja, and I am a first year student from Quito, Ecuador. I am currently undecided about my major but am leaning towards Economics and Math. I am also involved in the Men's Tennis Varsity Team. Since I started high-school my goal was to study college in the United States. I wanted to find a college in which I could get excellent academic preparation, but at the same time enjoy an exciting tennis career ( I have played tennis since I was 12). I had many options, but at the end, Grinnell College was the one which got my vote and so far, both of my dreams have been fulfilled. Grinnell has given me the opportunity to enjoy one of the best academic programs in the US, and also to participate as a varsity tennis player. In addition to quality academics and tennis, Grinnell has offered me two very important things: a friendly campus community and awesome support for me as an international student. I made the right decision when I came to Grinnell!
