GORP is a collection of outdoor recreation programs offering both instruction and recreational opportunities in a number of different areas. Physical Education classes offer instruction in skills such as CPR, first aid, sailing, climbing and kayaking. The climbing wall is offered five days per week for general climbing as well as specialty workshops. Other on-campus activities include kayak sessions, CPR , first aid and a bouldering wall. Off campus activities include day trips in areas such as horse trips, canoeing, caving and skiing as well as a week-long canoe expedition for incoming students. Equipment such as sleeping bags, tents and x-c skis can be checked out from the GORP equipment room located in the Harris Center which is open M-F, 4:15 - 5:45 when classes are in session.
