The Physical Education Complex (PEC) provides facilities and equipment for recreational and physical education activities, both organized and informal.
The new Athletic and Fitness Center is a multi-floored, 8,000 square foot facility that includes new cardiovascular and strength equipment. The upper floor of the Fitness Center holds 29 pieces of cardio equipment, a stretching mat, dumbbells, medicine balls, and exercise balls. The lower floor holds all of the strength equipment. It also includes designated areas for stretching, abdominal work, and plyometric work. In addition to the exercise equipment, the Fitness Center also showcases a state-of-the-art stereo system and seven flat screen televisions for the upper floor.
The PEC is open to students, faculty, and staff from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. City recreation programs may occur during the PEC open hours. Students are free to use the facility during these programs.
