PIONEER ONE-CARD OR P-CARD (CAMPUS ID)

Grinnell College uses a combined photo ID and proximity card system called the Pioneer One-Card or P-Card. This card is used as a proximity card to enter residence halls and academic buildings; for borrowing privileges in Burling Library; and, when a student has a meal plan, as an entrance card to the dining center. An account may be activated at the Cashier's Office to allow the P-Card to be used as a debit card in the College Book Store, The Spencer Grill, and campus laundry and vending machines. The P-Card is also used for entrance to the Fitness Center, social events, and other campus activities. Your P-Card must be carried at all times and presented to Grinnell College officials upon request. P-Cards are nontransferable. If lost, cards may be replaced for a fee at the Office of Dining Services and the Pioneer One-Card located in the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center. Complete information regarding the P-Card is available from Dining Services or on the College's web site. Parents may use a credit card to add money to a student's P-Card debit account by contacting the Cashier at 641-269-4100.
