The Stonewall Resource Center (src) was originally established as the Human/Gay Resource Center in 1986. It is named in commemoration of the Stonewall Riots of 1969, when New York City police raided a Greenwich Village gay bar called the Stonewall Inn. The rebellion gave birth to the Gay and Lesbian Pride movement in the United States.

The Stonewall Resource Center exists as a confidential safe space to serve the campus' Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered community and their Allies. Our primary focus is to provide resources and information about GLBT issues and to facilitate educational programming and activities on campus. The Stonewall Resource Center is also a meeting space for numerous student organizations. Our library, which contains over 1,500 books and 200 movies, is open to all students for both personal and academic needs.

• Monitors at the src are student volunteers who would love to chat with you. Stop by and say hello some time!
• The staff of the src are available to discuss questions, concerns, and anything else that may be on your mind.
