What We Do

FTP holds weekly meetings to discuss local, national, and international environmental issues. The large group is currently co-led by Caitlin Vaughan, Nathan Pavlovic, and Jacob Gjesdahl. This group is divided into several subgroups that focus on specific issues. Subgroups are chosen by FTP members at the beginning of each semester and include the community, energy, prairie, and ForestEthics groups.

Projects and Campaigns
  • The Forests group protested the use of old growth forests in Victoria's Secret catalogs by participating in a national day of action against the company.
  • FTP members are currently working to promote clean and renewable energy by lobbying for a wind turbine to power the campus. To find out more about this campaign, click on the "Wind Turbine Project" link on the left.
