On October 29, 2004, SCIPE hosted a debate between the two candidates campaigning to represent Iowa House District 75. Danny Carroll (R) and Eric Palmer (D).
SCIPE prepared three questions on the topics of edcuation, the environmental and gay marriage. The hour long debate also included an open question answer period.
The event was attended by 120 people including students, faculty, staff, and residents of Grinnell.
