Media Head Application
Description
1. In Charge of the day-to-day operations of the yearbook including hiring of
all related staff.
2. Oversees production of the yearbook for publication at the end of year.
3. Require regular staff meetings and a set production timeline.
4. Facilitate shipping of the previous year's yearbook in the fall.
5. Act as the business contact for the yearbook.
6. Operate media in a fiscally responsible manner within established budget
guidelines.
7. Operate the yearbook in a responsible manner obeying all laws and
college policies and also maintaining the yearbook's integrity.
Eligibility
Any full time student of Grinnell College is eligible for any SPARC media head
position, provided that this person is at least a first semester sophomore at the
time of assuming the responsibilities, and will not serve on the Student
Publications and Radio Committee at the same time.

Media Head Application
Description

related staff.
2. Layout and prepare the GUM for publication. Involves having a working
knowledge of PageMaker.
3. Require regular staff meetings and establish a timeline for publication.
4. Deal with any issues, business, or complaints dealing with the GUM.
5. Operate the GUM in a fiscally responsible manner within established
budget guidelines.
6. Operate the GUM in a responsible manner obeying all local, state, federal
laws and college policies and also maintaining the GUM's artistic
integrity.
Eligibility
Any full time student of Grinnell College is eligible for any SPARC media head
position, provided that this person is at least a first semester sophomore at the
time of assuming the responsibilities, and will not serve on the Student
Publications and Radio Committee at the same time.

Description

2. Maintain and promote the on air aspects of KDIC's broadcasts.
3. Have a working knowledge of the station's equipment and an
understanding of basic legal issues surrounding radio broadcasts.
4. Require regular staff meetings and a set timeline for events and
promotion.
5. Operate KDIC in a fiscally responsible manner within established budget
guidelines.
6. Operate the KDIC in a responsible manner obeying all federal, state, local
laws, and college policies and also maintain the integrity of KDIC.

Media Head Application
Description
1. In Charge of the day-to-day operations of the paper including recruiting
and hiring of all staff including editors, writers, and photographers.
2. Plan and prepare the paper weekly for publication.
3. Plan weekly staff meetings and a set timeline for publication each week.
4. Have a working knowledge of PageMaker and be able to deal with any
problems that may arise with either technology or staff.
5. Remain in contact with the publisher.
6. Take and deal with all complaints against the paper.
7. Operate media in a fiscally responsible manner within established budget
guidelines.
8. Operate the paper in a responsible manner obeying all laws and college
policies and also by maintaining the paper's journalistic integrity.

position, provided that this person is at least a first semester sophomore at the
