Instructions for Reporting Grades
Submitting grades: All instructors are expected to submit their grades online via WebAdvisor or the GrinnellShare Faculty Portal under the Self-Service Menu on the right. After logging in, click on "Enter Course Grades or Midterm Assessments." Call the Registrar's Office, x3450, if you have any questions or problems.
Fall 2013 Short Courses
Below is a list of 1/2 semester and short course offerings for Fall 2013, as well as the applicable deadlines for each course. Registration change forms are due in the Registrar's Office by 5:00 p.m. of the deadline day. Full course descriptions for these courses are available via Pioneer Web's online Schedule Search.
Official Transcripts are ordered online through the National Student Clearinghouse, processed on site at Grinnell College and sent via the United States Postal Service or overnighted by FED-EX. We do not provide electronic Official Transcripts.
2013-14 First Semester Examination Schedule
The Committee on Academic Standing has issued the following final examination schedule for the first semester. College policy stipulates that neither students nor faculty members may make changes in the published examination schedule without prior approval of the Registrar. Conflicts caused by the schedule should be resolved by discussion with the appropriate instructor.
What is FERPA?
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), as amended, details the federal rights afforded eligible students with regards to their education records and prohibits postsecondary educational institutions from disclosing the education records of students to most third parties without the students' written consent.
Student Self Serve Enrollment Verify
Students are encouraged to obtain enrollment verification certifications via the National Student Clearinghouse. This secure web site is available 24 hours per day and can be accessed via the services tab (academic information and financial aid boxes) at pioneerweb.grinnell.edu (aka Blackboard) The following services are free to all enrolled students, and may be used as often as necessary.
