Your care at Student Health and Counseling Services (SHACS) will be confidential. We will neither acknowledge to others that you are a client here nor discuss your treatment here without your permission. There are some limits to confidentiality, but they occur only in extreme situations. Your nurse or counselor will discuss the limits to confidentiality with you during your first nursing or counseling appointment, respectively. You, of course, are free to discuss your care at SHACS with others.
When Student Health and Counseling Services (SHACS) is closed, health and mental health consultation and assistance are still available to you.
Call Campus Safety and Security at 641-269-4600. Depending on the urgency of your situation, the Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) on call may phone or visit you, or Campus Safety and Security may arrive with emergency responders.

The Student Activity Fund is administered through the Office of Student Affairs. This fund has been
established to support student initiated events and activities. The fund is intended to provide students with
another avenue to acquire funds to produce an event/activity, travel to organized competitions, present a
paper at a professional conference, etc. This fund is not intended to become a fund that provides a regular
operating budget for organizations within a specific year nor in the long term. It is to be noted that there

The Commencement Committee requests your input for some important commencement weekend activities. Baccalaureate is a serious, student-organized activity held on the Sunday of Commencement Weekend. It features faculty speakers, student speakers, words from the President, and the awarding of honorary class memberships. The Commencement Committee would like your input as they work to select the speakers for this gathering.
