Shuchi Kapila, professor of English, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant, which she’ll use to travel to India to complete the research for and writing of her second book.

Your Grinnell student days may be coming to a close, but your quest for knowledge does not have to be. To support alumni’s lifelong learning endeavors, the Grinnell College Libraries and Office of Development and Alumni Relations are pleased to provide alumni with access to a range of academic databases.

The Post-Pandemic Return to Workplace committee has been meeting over the past several weeks to develop recommendations for a phased return to workplace on-campus plan. Employees who are normally contracted to work during the summer will return to standard campus operations between June 21 and August 9, in accordance with their department’s plan.

Fredo Rivera ’06, assistant professor of art history, has received a six-month Career Enhancement Fellowship funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Nicole Eikmeier, assistant professor of computer science at Grinnell College since 2019, has been named a Scialog fellow by the Research Corporation for Science Advancement.

Grinnell College will fully comply with New Iowa Code Chapter 27B. The College will not require anyone to carry "vaccine passports."

Student interns at the local library share local history and develop a stronger connection to the town of Grinnell.

On Friday, May 7, from noon-3:30 pm (weather permitting) come browse and feel free to check out books from the Grinnell College Libraries’ second special pop-up library on the north balcony of Burling. We will have book carts available containing new books from several collections in the library. Please maintain the designated social distancing and wear a mask.

The College will commemorate Juneteenth on Friday, June 18. Going forward, Juneteenth will be a permanent part of the institutional calendar and recognized as a holiday.
