Alumni receive Joseph F. Wall '41 Service Awards

GRINNELL, IA— Two Grinnell College alumni have been awarded Joseph F. Wall Alumni Service Awards of $25,000 each for service projects in their selected non-profit organizations.

The Wall Alumni Service Awards are named for the late Joseph F. Wall, a Grinnell College alumnus and long-time professor of history who inspired an ideal of social responsibility in his Grinnell students. The awards provide financial support for Grinnell graduates to engage in service projects, programs, and organizations that are dedicated to improving the lives of others.

GRINNELL, IA— Two Grinnell College alumni have been awarded Lori Ann Schwab Alumni Grants for service projects in their home communities.

The Schwab alumni grants are named for the late Lori Ann Schwab who died while an arts student at Grinnell in 1994. The $1,500 grants support projects at non-profit service organizations and public schools where Grinnell alumni participate.

Alumni scientists earn prestigious NSF research fellowships

Grinnell College is responding to the nation’s call to fill the scientist pipeline. This year eight Grinnell graduates have been awarded highly competitive research fellowships from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The prestigious fellowships carry a $30,000 stipend and $10,500 cost of education allowance for up to three years of study at some of the world's most highly regarded research institutions.
