Creative Writing Awards for 2008

Each year, Grinnellians compete for prizes and kudos in several creative writing competitions.

First prize winners for 2008 (shown left to right) are:

Award winners will be recognized during a formal reading from the Grinnell Review, the College's mainstream journal of art and literature, on Thursday, May 8, at 8 p.m. in the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center, Room 101.

1st prize, $100 given by the Academy of American Poetry

2nd prize, no monetary award

Henry York Steiner Memorial Prize for Short Fiction
