I have worked at the college for close to 20 years, with close to ten of them right here in the Office of Admission. Currently, I am the assistant to Jon Edwards, our coordinator of international admission. My primary responsibility is to assist international students – as well as US students who have spent a significant amount of time living abroad – with understanding our application process. I know the process can seem rather intimidating at times, but that’s what I’m here for…to help students get through it. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is meeting the new class of enrolling international students each fall.
I have lived in Iowa for most of my life, surrounded by cornfields, blue skies, gently rolling hills and the ever-present blowing wind.
I really enjoy living in a place where the seasons change, the community is friendly and people have a sense of belonging. Grinnell College reflects all of these values and I think that’s why I enjoy working here so much.
