Michael Gill has a Ph.D. in disability studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a term faculty member in Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies at Grinnell College. Prior to coming to Grinnell, he taught in the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at the University of Connecticut. He has also taught gender and sexuality studies courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Illinois at Chicago. His book, Already Doing It: Intellectual Disability and Matters of Sex is forthcoming with the University of Minnesota Press. He also co-edited, with Cathy Schlund-Vials, Disability, Human Rights, and the Limits of Humantarianism (Ashgate 2014). His research and teaching interests include feminist and queer disability studies, intellectual disability and sexuality, reproductive justice, intersections of gender, race, and science, and masculinity studies.
