    Upcoming Programs

    Grinnell College Museum of Art has a full array of programs year-round to enrich the experience of art-viewing and art-making for both campus and community. All events are in the Museum of Art or adjacent spaces unless otherwise noted.

    The Museum is free and open to all.

    Regular Hours

    Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

    Thursday evenings until 8 p.m.

    Saturday and Sunday 1–5 p.m.

    Closed Monday

    Closed Thanksgiving Day

Spring 2024 Events

BAX Opening Reception and Awards

Thursday, April 18, 4–6 p.m.

Juror Luther Davis ’93 will present awards and speak about the Bachelor of Arts Exhibition featuring creative work by third-and fourth-year Grinnell College art students. Luther Davis is a master printer and the printshop director of Powerhouse Arts; teaches printmaking at Parsons School of Design,; and was co-founder of Forth Estate, a fine art publisher focused on producing limited editions with emerging artists. In a typical year, Luther collaborates with around 80 artists and prints 300 unique projects. Refreshments will be served.

Join us for 20 minutes of conversation with Grinnell College students included in this year’s BAX about their works in the exhibition.

Concert: Lifetimes of Water: Phase 2 by Eric McIntyre

Thursday, April 25, 7 p.m.

Composer and hornist Eric McIntyre presents a program of original compositions inspired by water. Highlights of the program include world premieres of new works for video, digital audio, and live performers, featuring videos from the Boboli Gardens in Florence, Italy, and the Snake River system in the western United States.

Harp Recital

Students from Laura Erickson’s harp class will present a recital.
