Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies Learning Outcomes

Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies’ Mission Statement

Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies (GWSS) at Grinnell College provides a feminist lens to examine lived experience and ways of being in the world. In GWSS, faculty, staff, and students build an interdisciplinary learning community that examines power as well as pathways of potential in our interconnected world. The GWSS curriculum and co-curricular opportunities cultivate feminist critiques and unleash feminist imaginations to foster forms of social responsibility attuned to the dignity and wellbeing of all. In our praxis, we are committed to partnering with other programs and offices to promote equity, inclusion, and belonging on the campus.
