In addition to co-sponsoring class visits by scholars, artists, activists, and others, the Center for the Humanities supports teaching and learning at Grinnell by sponsoring courses in the humanities and social studies curriculums. In the past, these short courses have engaged the center’s annual themes and visitors. More recently, the center has focused on offering short courses that connect in other ways to the center’s programming and that respond to and engage discussions unfolding on campus. These short courses include:
- Rethinking Global Cultures
- Politics of Human Thriving
- Unity/Dis-Unity
- Decolonizing the Curriculum
- Inscriptions for the Future
- I/Robot
