The Leonard M. Kurz ’75 Me-to-We Award

This award made possible by the generosity of Grinnell alumnus Leonard Kurz ’75 provides a Grinnell College student with an experiential opportunity with the nonprofit WE Charity via one of its annual international volunteer trips. WE volunteer trips give students hands-on experience working alongside local community members on a WE Charity development project in various international locations, including India, Tanzania, the Amazon, Central America, and other locations.

WE, formerly known as Free The Children, is a worldwide development charity and youth empowerment movement founded in 1995 by human rights advocates Craig Kielburger and Marc Kielburger.

Recipient(s) will be selected through a competitive process coordinated by the Peace and Conflict Studies Program and WE.

The next application cycle for this award will be in 2018-19. PACS is not accepting applicants during the 2017-18 academic year.
