Fall Planning Update
Oct. 21, 2020 - In the upcoming second fall term, we will welcome back a very small number of students to campus for in-person learning experiences. The gradual addition of students to our campus community will help us prepare for further growth in the context of ongoing community health challenges.

Sept. 14, 2020 - We have made the decision to continue with remote instruction and a very low-density campus for Fall Term 2.

Important Changes to Fall Plans
July 20, 2020 - Fall Term 1 classes will be offered remotely and the arrival of first-year and transfer students will be delayed in an effort to further limit the number of students on campus.
Fall Term Plans Reassessment
July 15, 2020 - At this time, we are going to pause on sending additional invitations to study and live on campus for the second fall term (F2), scheduled to begin Oct. 22. We will remain paused until we can better understand the repercussions of these rapidly changing circumstances and new public health guidance.

Intercollegiate Athletic Competition During Fall Term 1
June 29, 2020 - Grinnell athletic teams will not compete against other colleges during the first fall term. We will continue to closely monitor the latest research and reports and will announce our decisions about Fall Term 2, Spring Term 1, and Spring Term 2 as those terms draw nearer.
Academic Year 2020-21 Planning Updates
June 12, 2020 - More specific information about our fall plans, even as our planning work continues. The next academic year will consist of four 7.5-week terms, with an optional summer term. We are planning for a low-density campus this fall, with a minimum starting number of between 500 - 600 students for the first term. There will be in-person and distance class offerings each term.
2020-21 Test Optional Admission Policy
