Students are expected to leave campus for the remainder of the semester. All students are expected to leave campus by Monday, March 23 at noon. However, we encourage you to take proactive steps to hasten your departure from campus.

We understand that for some this will be a daunting and extremely stressful time, this is why the Residence Life team has pulled together some information to make the process, while immediate, efficient for you to check out of your on campus housing.

Storage Information

Keys and General Information

  • Due to the circumstances, we will NOT be conducting standard formal room checks. However, we ask that each student be vigilant, mindful, and respectful when moving out of your space in an effort to assist our hardworking FM staff.
  • All students, including seniors, please take all of your items with you when you vacate your on campus room. You will not be allowed back into your Spring term room after you have turned in your key on or before March 23. This means that you forfeit the right to get items that are left behind in your on campus room. All items that remain in your room after your departure will be disposed of.
  • When you have completed your packing and are ready to leave campus, please put your room key in the room key envelope provided by your RLC. These can be found on the top of the key box in your cluster. Key boxes are located outside of your RLC’s office. If you are not aware of where the key box is located, please ask your CA or RLC.
  • If you would like to request a “formal” check out, please talk to your CA or RLC.

This is an extremely turbulent time for our nation, our college and community. The decision to close our on campus housing was difficult and was not made without serious consideration. However, students are expected to abide by the policies and procedures set forth by the institution, Student Affairs and Residence Life. If a student is found to be in violation of any of these policies, they may be asked to leave the college immediately.

NOTE: We will be asking all students to share information about their plans to leave campus. Please refer to the e-mail from Student Affairs with an individual link to a form for you to register your plans. All students MUST fill out this form by Friday, March 13P-card access may be shut off if students do not fill out the form by Friday, March 13, so please do this as soon as possibleStudents with exceptional reasons to stay on campus can petition to remain via this same form.
