Weekly COVID-19 Testing Clinic Update: Dec. 14

December 14, 2020

Dear Grinnellians,

SHAW cares deeply about your health and the health of our community. On Mondays, this Update will focus primarily on testing clinic results and notices or information particular to COVID-19 testing and mitigation of spread. On Thursdays, my email will focus on health information and tips, as well as the Grinnell Health Heroes.

We are proud of the commitment our students, faculty, and staff are making every day to prevent transmission. We are heartened by the compassion and support that members of this community give each other. Thank you for doing your part in keeping our community safe!

Testing Clinic Hours of Operation for the Week of December 21, 2020

To help ensure all staff are tested and their results back prior to the College closing early on December 23rd, we are rescheduling any staff who would have regularly tested on Wednesday the 23rd to the 21st or 22nd. Watch for an email from the SHAW administration team who will confirm your testing time for this week if you were routinely tested on Wednesdays. SHAW will coordinate any emergent testing that will be needed for our students who are traveling internationally and need a PCR test 48-72 hours prior to travel, or for anyone who is feeling symptomatic prior to the College closing at noon on December 23rd. These appointments must be coordinated through SHAW directly.

Concerned About Those Who Increase Risk Due to Non-Compliance?

Most members of our community do a terrific job of following public health guidelines, but occasionally, some may put the community at risk due to non-compliance. As a reminder, Grinnell College urges you to utilize EthicsPoint to anonymously report observed PPE or other public health policy non-compliance issues. This information will help us understand how to better support our campus community with ongoing education and outreach opportunities.

To Your Health,

Terry W. Mason, Ph.D.
