#GivingTuesday

Yesterday, #GivingTuesday, community members celebrated Grinnell College by giving to Grinnell. Thank you! This year on #GivingTuesday, 182 donors gave $45,600.17 to celebrate and strengthen our campus community.

Held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year, #GivingTuesday is a global giving movement to support organizations like Grinnell that uplift lives, embrace differences, and promote global understanding. This year, gifts from donors like you will continue to help make the Grinnell experience accessible to students and instill in our graduates the ability to thrive in settings around the world.

“It's really incredible to think that Grinnellians who have worked so hard their entire lives would want to provide opportunities to somebody like me that they don't even know,” says first generation student Cinthia Romo ’21. “It's so selfless; it makes me want to give back someday. It's a good feeling. It's overwhelming, it's humbling, and it's empowering.

“The campus community at Grinnell is super important as well,” Cinthia says. “I wouldn't have survived my first semester away from my family without this incredible group of people that were constantly encouraging me to keep going.”

Watch Cinthia and other Grinnell students describe the transformative impact of our College community on their lives!
