As a professional musician, composer, farmer, and director of the Grinnell Symphony Orchestra, Eric McIntyre’s days are demanding and varied, and that’s exactly how he likes it.

The Grinnell Singers, under the direction of Conductor John Rommereim, will be traveling east for the group’s week-long spring concert tour, March 16–22.

The Grinnell Singers and the Grinnell Oratorio Society will present “The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci” on December 2, 2023, at 2 p.m. in Sebring-Lewis Hall.

November 2-10, Grinnell College will play host to internationally-renowned vocalist, Christine Duncan. During her time on campus, she will work with music department students to develop vocal and improvisational skills.

The Zimbabwe Mbira Ensemble welcomes all members of the community to engage with and experience music in new ways.

Join us in Burling Lounge on Thurs., Sept. 14 at 4:15 p.m. “Carry Me Home: A Lecture” with Randye Jones. Jones will talk about her research on Negro spirituals and how they have long been connected with the Underground Railroad, and how the folk songs of that era serve as inspiration for concert performances.
