Assistant Director of Off-Campus Study

Casey joined Grinnell as the Assistant Director of Off-Campus Study in the Institute for Global Engagement in January 2020. In this role she oversees advising for all long term off campus study program options along with pre-departure and returnee programming. Casey holds an M.A. in International Education from the School of International Training in Brattleboro, VT and a B.S. in Human Resource Management from Winona State University. As an active advocate for accessibility to education abroad Casey also volunteers on the Religious Identities Task Force with Diversity Abroad. Prior to joining the Grinnell community Casey served as the Education Abroad Outreach Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (UWP) and the Study Away advisor at Keene State College before her time at UWP.

Prior to her work in higher education Casey taught technology to Kindergarten through fifth grade students at Marquette Elementary, one of Chicago’s title one schools. In her free time she enjoys all things outdoors and has even hiked the second most climbed mountain, Mt. Monadnock, on three different occasions. When not in the great outdoors she enjoys thrifting, a strong cup of coffee and reading a good book.
