Joseph Rolón

Director of Residence Life

Joseph “Joe” Rolón has lived all over the United States, from West coast to East coast, but he will always consider his home to be Union City, New Jersey. Joe attended University of Notre Dame and earned his BA in Psychology and Computer Applications. He then attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for graduate school and earned his Master of Arts in General-Theoretical Psychology.

For Joe, the best part of Grinnell College is the free flow of ideas. Joe adds that “the students appropriately challenge and are challenged in how to apply the tenets of self-governance in their lives and I hope to contribute to those ideas.”

Joe is the Director of Residence Life at Grinnell College. He oversees all aspects of the student residential experience. He works with the Residence Life Coordinators to ensure students are safe and in environments suitable for growth and development. Joe also serves on a number of committees on campus to assist in the student experience.

The Residence Life office is located on the third floor of the Joe Rosenfield ‘25 Center, in the Student Affairs suite. For more information, stop by Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call 641-269-3713.
